Description
The CRUSADE Bleeding Risk Score estimates the likelihood of major in-hospital bleeding in patients with non–ST-elevation acute coronary syndromes. It uses eight clinical variables—including heart rate, systolic blood pressure, haematocrit, creatinine clearance, sex, signs of heart failure, history of vascular disease, and diabetes mellitus—to calculate a cumulative score. The results stratify patients into bleeding risk categories (low to very high), supporting safer treatment decisions when considering antithrombotic or invasive strategies. This form enables structured, openEHR-based documentation and integration into electronic health records.
